Vibe Tribe X was started back in 1995 when Shawn Bossick (Guitar) and Mark Seaton (Bass) started to collaborate after a turn of events brought them together. Shawn was already an established songwriter/composer as well as a professional recording engineer. Not only is he an engineer but a well known producer throughout Southern California. Mark on the other hand was heavily into playing his bass and working around the industry recording tracks for many projects. He was also quick to rise as a producer in the multi-track audio recording field.
Shawn and Mark challenged themselves to come up with and learn new recording techniques as the industry was quickly converting to the digital age. They spent countless hours in the studio composing and recording, then doing in all over again. After spending close to five years together writing songs and trying to perfect the art of recording techniques, the two decided it was time to put together the best musicians they could find and record a CD like they had never done before.
The idea of the project was to hire musicians too simply record and finish a completed CD. As Scott Misner (Drums) entered the project in early 2000 he immediately took the project into a more progressive approach. Making a tremendous difference in where the project was headed. Shortly after Danny MacAuthor (Vocalist) entered the project under the same pretense and brought in the magic they were looking for. Both Scott and Danny refused pay because they just wanted to be involved and create the best CD possible.
Now that all four members were on the same page with each other, they took to the studio for next twelve months and composed a brand new CD from scratch with all the expectations they were looking for. With the collaboration of all four guys contributing an equal part, the CD would have never turned out the way it did if it wasn’t for all four members. The song “For You” was written at the time of the 911 tragedy. Although Danny insists the song was not written about 911, the video was a quick creation to get the band to move toward video production. Although due to unforeseen circumstances, the project split up and was never able to take it to the next level.
